The Kingspan TruckMaster 300 L is a compact and robust portable diesel fuel transport and dispensing tank designed to deliver fuel directly to machinery, vehicles and other diesel-powered equipment in locations where stationary refuelling infrastructure is not available. The tank is suitable for professional use in construction, agriculture, forestry, grounds maintenance, service operations, manufacturing facilities and other working environments where machinery needs to be refuelled directly on site. Its 300-litre capacity provides a practical diesel supply while maintaining a compact footprint suitable for transportation in an appropriate work vehicle.
The TruckMaster body is manufactured from durable polyethylene designed for professional use and providing good resistance to mechanical impact, changing weather conditions and UV exposure. Its upright design makes efficient use of available cargo space, while the dispensing equipment is located in a protected compartment beneath the upper lid, keeping the components protected during transportation and storage.
The Kingspan TruckMaster 300 L is equipped with a 12 V electric diesel pump, with the CC-Market configuration specified as providing a maximum delivery rate of up to 50 L/min. The pump is powered from a suitable 12 V electrical source using a 6-metre power cable with battery clamps. This allows the dispensing system to be used at remote worksites, construction sites, fields and other locations where a permanent electrical supply is not available.
Fuel is delivered through a 3.7-metre flexible dispensing hose, providing convenient access to the fuel tank of the machinery being refuelled. The automatic dispensing nozzle helps control fuel delivery and automatically stops the flow when the fuel level in the receiving tank reaches the nozzle shut-off point. The CC-Market configuration also includes a digital flowmeter fitted to the dispensing nozzle, allowing the operator to monitor the quantity of diesel dispensed.
The automatic nozzle does not remove the requirement for the operator to supervise the refuelling process. The dispensing nozzle must never be left unattended, as the operation of the automatic shut-off mechanism may be affected by the shape of the receiving tank filler opening, nozzle position and fuel flow conditions.
The TruckMaster 300 L incorporates a vacuum and pressure relief ventilation system to help equalise internal tank pressure during filling and fuel dispensing. The suction system uses a suction pipe with a mesh filter, helping to reduce the entry of larger mechanical contaminants into the pump and fuel delivery system.
The upper dispensing compartment is protected by a closing lid. On the TM300 model, Kingspan specifies a lockable latch, while the padlock itself is not supplied as part of the standard equipment. The tank also incorporates a 4-inch inspection opening, providing access to the inside of the tank for appropriate inspection and maintenance procedures.
The Kingspan TruckMaster 300 L measures approximately 600 mm in length, 800 mm in width and 890 mm in height, with an empty weight of approximately 45 kg. When filled with 300 litres of diesel fuel, the total weight of the unit will be considerably higher. The combined weight of the tank and fuel must therefore be taken into account during loading, unloading, securing and transportation, and suitable handling and load-securing methods must be used.
The tank is designed for the transport and dispensing of diesel fuel. It must not be used for petrol, AdBlue®, water or other liquids unless the manufacturer provides a version specifically designed for the relevant medium.
Before using the tank, the operator should inspect the tank body, fuel delivery hose, automatic dispensing nozzle, digital flowmeter, electrical cable, connections and ventilation components. The tank must be positioned securely, the pump connected to a suitable 12 V power supply and the dispensing nozzle correctly inserted into the fuel tank of the machinery being refuelled. The entire dispensing process must be supervised. After refuelling, the pump must be switched off, the electrical connection disconnected in accordance with the operating instructions and the hose and dispensing nozzle returned to their designated storage position.
The tank must not be used near open flames, sparks or other ignition sources. Smoking is prohibited during fuel dispensing. Any spilled diesel must be collected immediately using suitable absorbent material, and all applicable workplace safety, fire safety and environmental protection requirements must be observed.
Kingspan’s manufacturer documentation states that the 200 and 300 litre TruckMaster models do not require ADR type approval in the same way as the larger 430 and 900 litre TruckMaster models due to their smaller capacity. This should not be interpreted as a general exemption from all requirements applicable to the transport of fuel. The operator and carrier remain responsible for compliance with the transport, load-securing, workplace safety, fire safety and environmental requirements applicable in the relevant jurisdiction and operating situation.
During transport, the tank must be positioned and secured so that it cannot slide, overturn or collide with other objects. The lid must be closed and secured, the dispensing nozzle and hose must be safely stored, and the electrical cable must be protected against mechanical damage. Before transportation, all openings and connections must be checked to ensure that they are properly closed.
