Slaked Lime

Slaked Lime (Ca(OH)₂), also known as calcium hydroxide, is a white inorganic alkaline compound widely used in industrial, agricultural and construction applications. It is commonly applied in water and wastewater treatment for pH adjustment, neutralisation of acidic substances and removal of certain impurities. Slaked lime is also used in the production of building materials, soil treatment, flue gas treatment and various chemical manufacturing processes where an alkaline agent is required.

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye/face protection. IF ON SKIN: Wash thoroughly with water. IF INHALED: Move the person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do, and continue rinsing. Immediately contact a POISON CENTER or doctor. Dispose of contents/container in accordance with applicable local and international regulations.
