Kingspan FuelMaster 5000 L Diesel Fuel Storage and Dispensing Tank with Watchman FLO

The Kingspan FuelMaster 5000 L is a stationary double-walled diesel fuel storage, monitoring and dispensing system designed for companies, farms, transport and logistics businesses, construction companies, manufacturing facilities, equipment rental businesses, service workshops and other professional operations that regularly need to refuel their own vehicles and machinery.

Its nominal capacity of 5,000 litres allows a private diesel fuel storage and dispensing point to be established on company premises. This helps reduce machinery journeys to public filling stations, save working time, maintain a suitable fuel reserve and centrally monitor both the remaining diesel level and the quantity dispensed.

The FuelMaster 5000 L is suitable for refuelling trucks, tractors, combine harvesters, excavators, loaders, forklifts, generators, road maintenance machinery, forestry equipment, construction machinery and other diesel-powered equipment.

The tank is intended for the storage and dispensing of diesel fuel. It must not be used for petrol, AdBlue®, water, food-grade liquids or other substances for which the tank and its dispensing equipment have not been designed.

Double-Walled Construction

The FuelMaster 5000 L has a double-walled construction. The inner tank is intended for diesel fuel storage, while the outer tank acts as a protective containment layer and helps restrict the spread of fuel if the inner tank is damaged or develops a leak.

The tank body is manufactured from durable polyethylene that does not corrode and is suitable for long-term professional use. The material is resistant to changing weather conditions and ultraviolet radiation when the tank is installed and operated in accordance with the applicable technical requirements.

The double-walled construction does not replace correct installation, regular inspection and proper maintenance. Before use, ensure that the tank body, connections, leak sensor and other safety systems are in proper working condition.

Large Lockable Equipment Cabinet

A large equipment cabinet is integrated into the front of the tank. It contains the pump, filter, monitoring system, hose reel, automatic nozzle and other fuel dispensing components.

The enclosed cabinet helps protect the equipment from precipitation, dust, ultraviolet radiation, dirt and accidental mechanical damage. Lockable doors help restrict unauthorised access to the fuel and dispensing system.

LED lighting is integrated into the equipment cabinet to improve visibility during fuel dispensing, inspection and maintenance in low-light conditions.

After use, the nozzle, hose and other equipment must be returned to their designated positions and the cabinet doors must be closed and locked.

Electric Diesel Fuel Pump

The FuelMaster 5000 L is equipped with an electric diesel fuel dispensing pump with a maximum delivery rate of up to 79 litres per minute.

The pump provides fast diesel fuel dispensing for company vehicles and machinery. The actual delivery rate may be lower than the stated maximum depending on fuel temperature and viscosity, filter condition, hose arrangement, resistance within the receiving system and other operating conditions.

Before switching on the pump, inspect the electrical connection, filter, hose, nozzle and all fittings. A damaged or leaking system must not be used.

The electrical supply and earthing must be installed by a suitably qualified professional in accordance with the tank’s technical documentation and the requirements applicable at the installation site.

Watchman FLO Fuel Monitoring and Management System

The tank is equipped with a Watchman FLO monitoring and management terminal. The system combines diesel fuel level monitoring, quantity recording and dispensing equipment control in a single solution.

Watchman FLO provides fuel level monitoring, remote pump control, recording of the litres dispensed, nozzle status monitoring, overfill monitoring and leak detection. The system can store information about the ten most recent refuelling operations and provide low-level and high-level alerts.

Fuel level and dispensing information can be accessed through a mobile application, while data is stored using a cloud service. This allows the responsible person to monitor the condition of the tank and fuel activity without being physically present at the dispensing point.

This Watchman FLO configuration does not provide individual user identification. It monitors the tank level, dispensing activity and safety sensors but does not identify each fuel recipient using an individual key, card or access code.

Activation, suitable communications coverage and an active service plan may be required for mobile data, application and cloud functions.

K600 Pulse Meter

The dispensing system incorporates a K600 pulse meter. It measures the amount of diesel fuel passing through the system and transmits pulse signals to the Watchman FLO management terminal.

The meter data is used to record fuel dispensing and retain refuelling history. Measurement accuracy may depend on correct installation, calibration, flow conditions, fuel temperature and regular maintenance.

Where the meter readings are used for official billing or regulated accounting, the applicable metrological requirements must be checked separately.

Diesel Fuel Filter with Transparent Housing

The tank is equipped with a diesel fuel filter in a transparent housing. The filter helps retain mechanical contamination and protect the pump, meter and the fuel systems of the machinery being refuelled.

The transparent housing allows the condition of the filter to be inspected visually and helps identify accumulated contamination or liquid.

The filter element must be inspected regularly and replaced according to its condition, the amount of fuel dispensed and the applicable maintenance instructions. A blocked filter may reduce the delivery rate and increase the load on the pump.

A60 Automatic Dispensing Nozzle

The standard equipment includes an A60 automatic diesel fuel dispensing nozzle. Its automatic shut-off function helps stop fuel delivery when the level inside the receiving tank reaches the nozzle shut-off point.

The automatic shut-off function helps reduce the risk of overfilling and diesel fuel spillage, but the refuelling process must always be supervised. The nozzle must not be left operating unattended.

Automatic shut-off may be affected by the shape of the filler opening, nozzle position, ventilation of the receiving tank, flow rate and fuel splashback against the tank walls.

Nozzle Holder with Pump Control

A nozzle holder with pump switching functionality is integrated into the equipment cabinet. Removing and returning the nozzle is linked to the pump control system, helping provide a convenient and controlled dispensing process.

After refuelling, the nozzle must be returned to its designated holder. This helps stop system operation, protect the nozzle from mechanical damage and reduce the accumulation of fuel residue inside the cabinet.

Before closing the cabinet, ensure that the nozzle is correctly seated in its holder and that the pump is switched off.

Eight-Metre Dispensing Hose with Reel

The FuelMaster 5000 L is equipped with an approximately 8-metre diesel fuel dispensing hose.

The hose length provides convenient access to the fuel tank of a vehicle or machine even where it cannot be positioned immediately beside the FuelMaster tank.

The integrated hose reel provides compact and orderly hose storage. It helps reduce the risk of the hose becoming caught, crushed, contaminated or mechanically damaged.

After use, the hose must be rewound evenly onto the reel. It must not be used to pull equipment, left in a vehicle traffic area or allowed to contact sharp edges.

Before each use, inspect the hose for cracks, wear, deformation or leakage.

Watchman Sonic Plus Advance Level Sensor

A Watchman Sonic Plus Advance fuel level sensor is installed in the tank. It monitors the diesel fuel level and transmits information to the management system.

Fuel level monitoring helps plan fuel deliveries in good time and reduces the risk of machinery being left without the required diesel reserve.

Sensor readings depend on correct installation, configuration and tank geometry. Unusual or conflicting readings should be investigated by checking both sensor operation and the actual fuel level.

Maximum Level Sensor and Overfill Monitoring

The FuelMaster 5000 L is equipped with a maximum fuel level sensor that helps monitor tank filling and provide an alert when the maximum permitted level is reached.

The overfill monitoring system helps reduce the risk of fuel spillage and environmental contamination. It does not remove the responsibility of the operator and fuel supplier to supervise the entire tank-filling process.

The maximum level sensor and other filling safety components must be checked before each fuel delivery.

Leak Sensor

A leak sensor is installed between the inner and outer tank walls. It helps detect liquid entering the space between the two walls.

If a leak warning is activated, tank filling and fuel dispensing must be stopped immediately. The tank must not be used again until the cause of the alarm has been identified, a technical inspection has been completed and any damage has been repaired.

Two-Inch EURO Filling Connection

The tank is equipped with a 2-inch EURO filling connection designed for connecting the delivery hose of a fuel tanker.

The closed filling connection supports cleaner and safer tank filling and helps reduce the risk of accidental fuel spillage.

Before filling the tank, inspect the connection, filling line, maximum level sensor and overfill monitoring system. The entire filling process must be supervised.

Installation, Use and Safety

The tank must be installed on a stable, level and non-combustible base capable of supporting its full operating weight. Unrestricted access must be provided for tank filling, vehicle and machinery refuelling, inspection, maintenance and emergency services.

Before operation, inspect the tank body, equipment cabinet, pump, filter, meter, Watchman FLO system, hose, reel, nozzle, nozzle holder, filling connection, level sensors, overfill monitoring system, leak sensor, electrical connection and earthing.

A damaged, incorrectly installed, unearthed or leaking tank must not be used.

The engine of the vehicle or machinery being refuelled must be switched off. Smoking, open flames, sparks and any other activities that may ignite fuel or vapours are prohibited in the working area.

During fuel dispensing, the nozzle must be fully inserted into the filler opening of the receiving tank. Once the pump has been switched on, the refuelling process must be supervised continuously.

When refuelling is complete, close the nozzle and return it to its holder. Ensure that the pump is switched off, the hose is correctly rewound onto the reel and the equipment cabinet is closed.

Any spilled diesel fuel must be collected immediately using an absorbent material suitable for petroleum products. The cause of the leak must be identified and corrected before the system is used again.

Tank installation, electrical connection, earthing, activation, maintenance and operation must comply with the supplied technical documentation and all requirements applicable in the country of use.
