TruckMaster 440 Mobile Diesel Tank with BP3000 12V Pump

The Kingspan TruckMaster 440 L is a robust mobile diesel fuel storage, transport and dispensing tank designed for refuelling machinery, equipment and vehicles directly at the place of work. It is particularly suitable for construction sites, agriculture, forestry, grounds maintenance, industrial operations, service fleets and other professional environments where machinery needs to be supplied with diesel away from a conventional filling station.

The 440-litre capacity provides a practical fuel supply for day-to-day professional use while maintaining dimensions suitable for transportation in commercial vehicles, trailers and other appropriate transport platforms. The low-profile rectangular design makes efficient use of cargo space and helps keep the centre of gravity relatively low during transportation.

The tank body is manufactured from durable polyethylene designed to withstand demanding working environments. The material is resistant to corrosion, weather exposure and UV radiation and provides good resistance to mechanical impact during normal professional use. The tank is designed as a single-wall mobile diesel storage and dispensing unit.

The TruckMaster 440 L is equipped with a BP3000 12 V electric diesel pump for transferring fuel directly from the tank to the machinery being refuelled. The pump is powered from a suitable 12 V electrical source and is connected using a power cable with battery clamps. Depending on the exact BP3000 configuration supplied, the maximum fuel delivery rate can reach approximately 50 litres per minute.

The actual fuel delivery rate may vary depending on the electrical supply voltage, battery condition, hose position, fuel temperature, diesel viscosity and resistance within the receiving fuel system. The stated maximum flow rate therefore represents pump performance under suitable operating conditions and should not be interpreted as a guaranteed delivery rate in every situation.

Fuel is delivered through an approximately 4-metre flexible dispensing hose, allowing convenient access to the fuel tank of construction machinery, tractors, generators and other diesel-powered equipment. The system is equipped with an automatic dispensing nozzle designed to stop the fuel flow when the receiving tank reaches the nozzle shut-off level, helping reduce the risk of overfilling.

The operator must supervise the entire refuelling process even when using the automatic dispensing nozzle. The nozzle must not be left unattended because its automatic shut-off function can be affected by the shape and position of the filler neck, nozzle angle and fuel flow conditions.

The tank incorporates a dedicated equipment compartment beneath the protective upper lid, allowing the pump, hose and dispensing nozzle to remain protected during transportation and storage. The lid is supported by gas struts and can be secured against unauthorised access using a suitable padlock. The dispensing equipment remains conveniently accessible when the lid is opened.

The TruckMaster 440 L incorporates an automatic ventilation system that allows pressure inside the tank to equalise during filling and fuel dispensing. A shut-off valve allows the fuel line to be closed when necessary, while the filler opening provides convenient access when the tank itself is being filled.

The body includes integrated forklift pockets, allowing the empty tank to be handled with suitable lifting equipment. Certain configurations may also be equipped with lifting shackles or dedicated lifting points. Any lifting accessories must only be used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and their specified load limits.

The approximate dimensions of the TruckMaster 440 L are 1,150 mm in length, 800 mm in width and 765 mm in height, with an empty weight of approximately 64 kg. When filled with 440 litres of diesel fuel, the total operating weight increases considerably. The weight of both the tank and its contents must therefore be taken into account when selecting a vehicle, trailer, lifting method and load-securing equipment.

The TruckMaster 440 L is designed for diesel fuel. It must not be used for petrol, AdBlue®, water, chemicals or other liquids unless the manufacturer specifically confirms that the relevant tank version and dispensing equipment are suitable for that medium.

Before using the tank, the operator must inspect the tank body, filler cap, ventilation components, fuel hose, automatic dispensing nozzle, pump, power cable, battery clamps, valves and connections for visible damage or leakage. The tank must be positioned securely and, where possible, on a stable and level surface before dispensing begins.

To dispense fuel, the pump must be connected to a suitable 12 V power source in accordance with the operating instructions. The dispensing nozzle must then be inserted securely into the receiving fuel tank before the pump is switched on. The operator must supervise the refuelling process at all times. After dispensing, the pump must be switched off, the electrical connection disconnected correctly and the hose and nozzle returned to their designated storage area.

Any diesel spilled during filling or dispensing must be collected immediately using suitable absorbent material. The tank must not be operated near open flames, sparks, hot surfaces or other ignition sources, and smoking is prohibited during fuel transfer.

During transport, the tank must be secured so that it cannot slide, overturn or collide with other objects. The lid must be closed, the hose and dispensing nozzle must be properly stored, and the electrical cable must be protected against mechanical damage. The load-securing equipment used must be suitable for the total mass of the filled tank.

The transport of diesel fuel remains subject to applicable dangerous-goods, occupational safety, fire safety and environmental requirements. Certain professional transport operations may qualify for exemptions or simplified requirements under ADR 1.1.3.1(c), depending on how and why the fuel is being transported. This does not constitute a general exemption from legal obligations, and the operator and carrier remain responsible for ensuring compliance with all requirements applicable to the specific transport operation.
